Testing Solutions Since 1954
History of Bareiss North America - Bareiss North America

Since 1954, Bareiss has been leading the field
of hardness testing elastomer materials.

BAREISS was founded in 1954 by Mr. Henry Bareiss. The company has been committed to research and development innovations for many years, with core technology at the center, including the production of hardness measuring instruments for testing elastomers and other soft elastomers. A strong industry advantage for Bareiss is that we manufacture up to 95% of the product components in-house. Our professional experience in unique modular design of products can effectively save manpower, time and money, if and when any components need to be replaced or repaired. Our research and development team can assist our customers in building an instrument based on their customized needs and budget. Because of our leading position in the industry, BAREISS has become the first official DKD calibration laboratory in Germany and the first instrument manufacturer that can issue DKD certificates.

Borui was founded by Henry balce in 1954. The motive was not to make a profit but simply to make the highest quality mechanical rubber hardness tester.

Complete the first-generation BS 61 test stand to provide general hand-held durometer stability in positioning and pressure. Design principles more than 50 years ago are only slightly different from those of today’s BS 61.

Due to the popularity of electronic technology, borui created the first rubber hardware with time control in 1972. The patented test head is better able to test on the concavo-convex surface of the sample, completely free from the traditional limitations of testing only on flat surfaces. This model was also successfully extended from SHORE (shaw standard) testing to IRHD (international rubber standard) testing.

Innovative Bareiss products are selling like hot cakes, picking up lots of orders from Russia.

As Bareiss instruments in the field of rubber hardness professional growth, our business has gradually reached the whole European market. Countries such as France and Italy, which are also oriented towards industrial development, have seen a lot of customers who are beginning to show great interest in our products.

The model u72/80e represents an epoch-making change. The rubber hardness test is no longer based on mechanical, but on mechanical and electronic integration. Besides the analog presentation of the measured data, the digital presentation and output can be achieved through the assistance of electronic equipment. The U72 is truly the best-selling DIGI TEST II first-generation product today.

The company, based on the Danube river in Germany, has begun to build factories to expand capacity in response to growing results.

The original design was copied by other manufacturers. Twenty years later, the same design is still in place for today’s test applications.

In addition to being more powerful electronically, the test head was changed from manual to automatic. The stability of each condition of the measurement process can be greatly increased. This time is not far from the era of 100% automatic rubber tester.

For both SHORE and IRHD, borui became the first official DKD calibration laboratory in Germany to comply with the standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. This qualification verifies borui’s leadership in the field of rubber hardness testing. Until now, over 90% of borui’s products have been issued with an official DAKKS certificate.

As a pioneer in rubber hardness testing, borui is not available in the market for the relevant equipment calibration equipment, so borui independently developed a series of calibration equipment for the rubber hardware. Perfect and professional calibration equipment and procedures ensure the highest quality of borui products.

After years of research and development, the DIGI TEST of the new generation was finally launched in the new millennium. Its features emphasize the versatility of a machine, users can be in IRHD and SHORE free exchange. Modular design provides absolute ease of use.

The company has fully imported ISO 9001 AND ISO 14001, AND is supervised AND reviewed by CUSTOMER ORIENTED CAPABILITIES AND PROCESSES.

The HPE II electronic hardware is patented in pressure design. Special grips reduce the Angle of the instrument tilt during measurement and provide the most stable pressure relief.

The industry is the first truly automatic rubber ring positioning device, through infrared laser scanning to determine the correct position of the rubber ring, and can do double point measurement and thickness measurement. The technology has been mature since 2006, proving once again that borui is in the field of rubber hardness testing.

Another industry breakthrough. Bareiss’ exclusive r&d VLRH (VERY LOW RUBBER HARDNESS) measurement way, VERY soft material samples against doing HARDNESS testing. VLRH would be an alternative in cases where Shore 000 or IRHD L in general is not applicable. This measurement method has international standard DIN ISO 27588

When China has become a global manufacturing factory, the control of product quality cannot be ignored any more. In the future, in response to the strong demand arising from the rapid development of this market, borui has decided to set up a branch in Shanghai. With long-term development, it hopes to further expand its brand into the market and provide technical and business support in the same region at the same time.

The newly acquired Hermle 5-axis CNC machine tool in Germany proves once again that borui has the highest requirements for manufacturing technology and quality.
