Bareiss is proud to share the key advantages about our firmness analyzer that non-destructively measures the hardness of fruits, vegetables, and an assortment of food. This trending tester is replacing penetrometers all over the World and providing real cost saving advantages to growers, packers, retailers, and consumers.

We offer a variety of exchangeable pressure plates suitable for measuring produce such as avocado, tomato, grapes and many more harvest to home favorites. In addition, this Bareiss firmness tester offers the option of recording the ambient temperature and the relative humidity, showing all the data on a large, illuminated display. Thanks to the internal memory, which can store up to 300 measured values, this data can be transmitted on-

site or subsequently transferred to a laboratory system via the supplied interface cable for detailed evaluation.

The # 1 advantage to using the Bareiss firmness analyzer vs. a traditional penetrometer to determine the hardness on this apple, is clearly shown in the photos below. Our device is nondestructive, whereas the penetrometer damages the fruit to obtain a firmness measurement. Many vendors are still wasting tons of food annually and unfortunately, it is negatively impacting the end consumers. Whether you are testing avocado, tomato, grapes or a host of other fruits and vegetables, a penetrometer creates tremendous losses to the industry during this process. The Bareiss digital firmness analyzer is replacing penetrometers all over the World and providing real cost saving advantages to growers, packers, retailers, and consumers.
